As Catholics, we seek to impart knowledge of our faith to our children. Both Our Lady of Grace and St. Joseph offer religious instruction (CCD) for children entering Kindergarten through 8th grade enrolled in public, private or charter school. See registration details below.
This instruction includes preparation for the following sacraments:
- Reconciliation
- First Holy Communion
- Confirmation (for eligible children)
The CCD program includes mandatory attendance at Mass and one-hour classroom instruction during the following times:
- Sundays: September through May
- Our Lady of Grace: 9:15 to 10:15 am
- St. Joseph: 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
During lesson time, children will explore and discuss the scriptures and gospel, learn prayers and traditions, gain a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith, and acquire insight into what it means to be part of the Catholic Church.
CCD REGISTRATION
CCD registration takes place prior to the start of the program in September. All parish children in grades K through 8 who attend private, public or charter schools should be enrolled in CCD. As a reminder, children must be prepared for two years prior to receiving sacraments, but all children should be enrolled in the program regardless.
Online registration forms are available on our homepage prior to the September start date. Please submit the registration as early as possible so that we may make proper arrangements as to teacher assignments and supplies. Also, please ensure that you have registered as a parishioner of either Our Lady of Grace or St. Joseph prior to registering for the CCD program.
Our CCD program is an opportunity for all children and their families to grow not only in their knowledge of our Catholic faith but in discipleship. A disciple is one who comes to encounter Christ, not merely to know about him.
