Welcome to Our Lady of Grace and St. Joseph, two of the most deeply-rooted and oldest Roman Catholic churches in the United States. Our Lady of Grace, founded in 1851, and St. Joseph, founded in 1871, were merged into one parish in 2008. We would like to extend a warm greeting to you and encourage you to explore the ministries and activities that occur in our parish.
We are a large community that is here to help fulfill your spiritual needs as well as help you find some peace in the busy Hoboken and Jersey City areas. We are here to help support you locally as you live the Catholic faith in a global society, and we welcome you to share your talents and interests with us. Each day we strive to create a spirit-filled and service-oriented parish that is a beacon of faith, hope, and love not only within our community but in our society as well.
Please feel free to visit us at any time, join us at one of our Masses, or attend one of our events. Welcome to our parish, and we look forward to growing in faith with you!
Easter comes very early this year and how we welcome the warmth. The flowers in our Angela Maffei Memorial Garden have been budding through the winter earth as a reminder of new life in Easter. We face so many national and world problems that seem intractable. Easter brings hope that we can turn the corner.
Easter is our second most important collection, and we hope to raise $42,000. OLG has to install another huge boiler in Kelly Hall costing $80,000. St. Joseph Church exterior needs more pointing, and this will cost $6,000. If each person, couple or family donates $100, we will go over our goal. You can use the envelopes on the church tables or donate electronically.
We will hold the collection open until the Feast of Pentecost, May 19, and then publish a list of those donors of $100 or more in the bulletin unless you ask us to omit your name.
It is beautiful to celebrate the Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter, the fullness of our Catholic faith. Come and enter more fully into the Paschal Mystery. Alleluia!
Peace,
Fr. Alexander M. Santora

Each year, Cardinal Tobin invites us to make a financial sacrifice to support the extraordinary needs of the Archdiocese in an Annual Appeal. We are grateful for your generosity because it helps support essential ministries and programs of our Archdiocese.
Our Parish goal is $32,216. If we reach this goal in paid-in donations by June 30, our Parish is eligible for a 2% reduction in our annual assessment to the Archdiocese. Also, if we go over this goal in pledges as of June 30, we will be eligible for a rebate, which comes back to our Parish, unassessed, to be used at our own discretion.
Please support the Appeal by using the envelopes on the church tables, responding to the materials you may have received in the mail, or going online to donate.
Cardinal Tobin thanks us. Please pray for the success of the Annual Appeal. Your sacrificial support makes it possible for us to carry out the vital work that we are called to as missionary disciples of Jesus.
