ENRICH YOUR FAITH THIS LENT

ASH WEDNESDAY:  We invite you to receive ashes this Wednesday.  At OLG, there are Prayer Services at 10 AM, 3 & 5 PM and Masses at 12:30 and 7:30 PM.  At St. Joseph, there is a Prayer Service at Noon and a Mass at 7 PM.  Ashes are given after the homily.

READING:  We have Lenten Prayer Books for $2 and you can pray along with Pope Francis.  You may obtain them during Sunday Masses.

TALKS:  Fr. Philip Micele, our new parochial vicar, will offer three Lenten reflections on the theme, "Out of Darkness into Light - Images of Lent in the Scriptures."  Each talk will focus on a biblical image that the Church has associated with Lent: the temptations of Jesus, the Exodus from Egypt, and the Babylonian Exile, in that order.  These reflections will be offered at the end of the 7 PM Mass on Thursday, March 1, 8, 15 and repeated on Friday, March 2, 9, 16 after the 12:30 Mass.

YA RETREAT:  Young adults are invited to a one day Lenten retreat on Saturday, March 10, 2018, from 9:30 to 3 PM in the Parish Center.  Dominican Sr. Arlene Flaherty will lead the retreat on the theme, “Cultivating Fields of Compassion.”  Sr. Arlene works in peace and justice issues for the church and society.  There is a $20 fee.  Register by Thursday, March 8, 2018.  Please complete and return the form with your payment on p. 6 of this week’s bulletin.
