Since Easter, we began raising funds to install a new organ console in the nave of the church near the pulpit, which would allow us to play the organ pipes in the loft. From our record-breaking Christmas collection, we deposited over $20,500 for a grand total to date of $47,893.75. That represents roughly half the cost of the project based on estimates we are still soliciting. $12,492 came from the Easter collection and $707 from the box at the entrance of the center aisle. The remaining monies came from individual gifts, including one for $5000 from a Friend of OLG. We still have a long way to go to reach our goal, but are confident we will achieve it. We have written to Archbishop Myers for permission to move to the next level and hopefully award the contract this year. Let us continue to pray for our worthwhile project that will improve our liturgies and singing.
   
ORGAN CONSOLE COMMITTEE
